Chart notes
MANSETTI was between runners in the very early stages then had a short lead setting the pace from outside and facing inside prompting, moved clear in the stretch, drifted out a bit late and held safe. CALL ME SUE pursued from outside mid-pack going three to four wide on the turn, gained steadily but slowly while shifting in nearing late stretch, was not enough. AWESOME BEAT unhurriedly brought up the rear, swung six to seven wide for the stretch run, was gaining well but too late. PATRIOTIC WAR had very brief speed but steadily dropped back three wide up the backstretch and on the turn, came out five wide at the top of the stretch, kept on but needed more. DARK SCREEN was coaxed forward inside, prompted the pace, weakened. FRENCH HORN chased from inside, failed to rally.
