Chart notes
EMERSON JONES set a pressured pace for a half mile, kicked clear on the far turn and held off the runner-up's bid through the lane. WORK'N ON A BUZZ unhurried for the first half mile to be at the back of the main body of the field, rallied on the turn to be prominent turning for home and battled with the winner in the lane unable to get by. OUR LAST SONG pressed the pace to the far turn, could not go with the winner on the final bend and kept-on willingly in the lane to be the best of the rest. DERBY DAY KISS stalked the pace for five-eighths and lacked a closing response when called upon. DOLCE MARIE tracked the leaders to the far turn and faded. LA LA ANGEL was outrun.
