Chart notes
BOOTS MALONE set the pace under early pressure, opened a clear advantage through the turn and drew away easily as much the best. RONNIS SECOND WIND reserved off the leaders to late in the turn, rallied willingly when called upon and finished well to gain the place. PROFESSOR NICK was rated in mid-pack to the quarter pole, angled wide for the stretch run to mount a mild bid in upper stretch and was outkicked late. LIVE A LITTLE tracked the leaders into the bend, made a brief bid on the turn to be prominent and flattened out in the lane. MERGER unhurried early to be near the rear of the field and showed some late interest in the lane without impact. KOZY K trailed through the turn and passed tiring rivals in the stretch. GONE WILD stalked the pace for a half and weakened in the stretch. RIGHT ON THE MUNNY chased the winner into the turn and gave way.
