Chart notes
MISTY DANCER was slow into stride but recovered quickly, was up close to the leaders before going a furlong, got a clean trip through the turn, tipped out to the two path for the stretch run and finished best to prevail. WALK DOWN COLGATE broke best and was able to seize the early lead, went clear with QUEEN POPPY in close pursuit, came into the stretch with a short lead but with MISTY DANCER and PEBBLES B AWESOME finishing a bit better and gave way grudgingly in the final furlong and saved the place. PEBBLES B AWESOME settled mid-pack and five wide down the backstretch, launched a bid near the three furlong marker and loomed a threat for the lead passing the quarter pole, came three wide into the stretch and finished well under steady handling but was outfinished by the top pair. MADDIE JANE broke well and was up with the early leaders down the backstretch, could not keep pace as the field entered the turn, kept to task and managed to split the field. QUEEN POPPY was pushed for forward position from the break, chased WALK DOWN COLGATE through the turn, loomed a threat approaching the quarter pole then could not kick on in the stretch, tipped out to the five path and finished evenly. GREG THE GREAT broke well and was up with the leaders through the initial stages, struggled to keep up before the turn, steadily dropped of the pace and had nothing to offer in the stretch. LA' MOMINA steadied a few yards out of the gate in tight quarters when PEBBLES B AWESOME came over and took the path, chased down the backstretch and through the turn and was never a factor. LITTLE VENUS got squeezed a few strides away from the gate and lost some ground early, went three wide through the turn and lacked a rally.
