Chart notes
BARONS BLITZ settled near the rear on the inside, advanced smartly in hand along the backside, edged closer two wide on the far turn, skimmed the fence taking the lead turning for home and pulled away when encouraged right handed in the final sixteenth to hold safe for the win when crossing the finish line. EMPIRE'S TREAT travelled five wide close to the back of the pack stalking into the first of two turns, narrowed the margin three deep outside when the field bunched up with three furlongs remaining, commenced a rally bursting between foes four wide at the quarter pole, reached for more ground splitting horses in mid-stretch to bid for the lead, was no match for the winner late who had something in reserve but did battle on to save the place share at the finish line. RESTORING ORDER stalked on the rail in the third flight, lost forward position between foes at the half, lacked running room in the two path surrounded by runners on the last turn, found a seam two wide entering the stretch and fought on gamely inside to just miss the nod for the place share at the wire. NIGHT STRIKER watched the top two rivals outside at the start, moved in to keep a close eye on the lead pair by the half, chased the leader outside through the far turn, finished up evenly five wide in the mix down the lane and settled for a minor placing in the end. COPROLITE dwelt on the break spotting the field many in the beginning, closed the gap smartly around the last turn, shifted out seven wide in range for a piece of the prize at the top of the lane, still was very game, kept coming to the finish line outside and showed a good effort that looks better than it was. TRUE SHOT settled three wide in midfield early on, took closer order four deep along the backside outside rivals, kept pace travelling four wide through the final bend, swung out widest in the seven path for the drive but had no finish to offer in the stretch running. LOST STAR tracked the pacesetter going seven wide when entering the turn, sat just outside chasing the frontrunner down the back straight, assumed control outside three eighths from the wire, was clinging onto the lead in the five path with rivals closing in on both sides in upper stretch and folded between horses while being checked at the furlong marker. JAVA POWER seized command travelling off the fence three wide into the first tur, set an even tempo with wind assistance along the backside up top, was collared outside with three furlongs from home, offered no resistance, backed away through the far turn, emptied out in upper stretch and was eased crossing the finish line.
