Chart notes
NEW MATTHEW settled off the pace, was urged along between foes in the two path early on the turn, remained in the two path going around that bend, swung out four wide into upper stretch, chased outside into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth and got under strong urging to narrowly prevail. TAP IT EASY tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the four path on the turn, took a short lead into upper stretch, swapped back to his inside lead just inside the furlong marker, switched back to the proper lead late and was denied while able to hold the place. SUNDAY GILT was bumped at the start, stalked the pace on the outside of the leader, drew even with that foe while in the three path on the turn, took a short lead late on that bend, was asked for his best in upper stretch, fought on well with the runner-up into the final sixteenth but missed while clear for the show. TRINITY RIVER went to the front, showed the way on the inside of a foe, was asked while inside to the two path on the turn, lost the advantage late on that bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive, dropped back into the final furlong and was outfinished. RESILIENT HERO broke in and bumped with a foe then bumped with another rival, settled off the pace, moved in near the nine-sixteenths, was urged along late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, moved out near the sixteenth-pole and improved position without threatening. RUNAMOR was urged along early then taken in hand while moving up to race just off the pace, chased along the rail on the turn, was driven three wide into the stretch, lugged in a touch under extra right-rein pressure in the drive and lacked the needed kick. ARCH'S ASSAULT brushed the inside of the gate at the start, settled on the outside, was urged in the five path on the turn and lacked the needed response. BIGFOOT SIGHTING settled between horses, was urged three wide on the turn, dropped back near the five-sixteenths pole and faltered. PREMIER CRU broke in then made light contact with a foe, settled off the pace, moved in near the nine-sixteenths pole, was urged along late on the backstretch, raced in the two then three path on the turn, came out to the five path into the stretch and was no factor.
