DULY NOTED away in good order, took a hard bump from SMILING LADY in the opening sixteenth of a mile and was shuffled back in the early stages, settled off of the solid pace heading to the half-mile pole, saved ground into the turn, gained along the bend and was well placed nearing the quarter pole, saved all of the ground to upper stretch, rallied and came within aim at the furlong marker, took command at the sixteenth-pole and edged away late under steady urging. GRAND SLAM SMILE settled off of the quick early pace, was well placed in the early going and tracked from the second flight heading to the half-mile pole, tracked four wide approaching the turn, traded bumps with SMILING LADY at the three-eighths pole, chased four wide along the bend, loomed at the quarter pole and rallied four wide into upper stretch, vied for the lead at the furlong marker, was outkicked by DULY NOTED in the final sixteenth and held well late for second. CHANCERY WAY broke a half-step slowly and was hustled away from the gate, assumed early command and set a pressured pace heading to the half-mile marker, engaged with SMILING MOLLY and dueled inside of that rival entering the turn, disputed quick fractions approaching the quarter marker, battled SMILING MOLLY into upper stretch and dug in at the furlong marker, was overtaken by DULY NOTED nearing the sixteenth-pole, could not match strides with the winner in deep stretch and was outfinished for second, while holding clearly for third. IRISH WAHINE settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked from the second flight heading to the half-mile marker, chased five wide into the turn and made contact with SMILING LADY at the three-eighths, chased three wide along the bend and gained ground at the quarter pole, came four wide into the stretch and sustained her bid nearing the furlong marker, could find find more into the final sixteenth and flattened out late. BLUE WILDCAT unhurried in the early going, saved ground into the turn and advanced at the quarter marker, maintained an inside trip into the stretch and continued to gain at the eighth pole, could not sustain her run into the final sixteenth and needed more late. SMILING MOLLY sent leaving the start, vied for the early lead from between runners, pressed the quick pace outside of CHANCERY WAY, advanced into the turn and dueled CHANCERY WAY through solid fractions nearing the quarter marker, battled into upper stretch, continued to fight on into the final furlong, could not keep pace in deep stretch and faded late. ROUSING JEWEL broke alertly, vied for the early lead then rated just off of the early pace, stalked outside of the leading pair heading to the half-mile pole, was well placed approaching the turn, chased the dueling leaders three wide nearing the quarter marker, lost ground into upper stretch, could not find the needed response into the final furlong and gave way. SMILING LADY got caught a bit in tight soon after the start, drifted in and bothered DULY NOTED approaching the eleven-sixteenths marker, recovered and tracked the solid early pace from the second flight, tracked between rivals heading to the turn, was caught in tight at the three-eighths pole and was jostled between runners at that station, got shuffled back on the turn and chased two wide heading to the quarter pole, tired into upper stretch and trailed the rest of the way.
