Chart notes
LATER TAMARTATER stumbled at the start, then was taken in hand, settled well behind the pace through the first half mile, saved ground and advanced some through the far turn got a clear run up the rail in the stretch and finished well under intermittent urging as the early leaders tired and was just up over a surging BRUISER at the line. BRUISER was last away from the gate and was dead last, far behind the leaders to the half-mile marker, responded when put into a drive from the nine-sixteenths pole, advance four wide through the far turn then came five wide into the stretch sustained the rally in the stretch despite having to dodge a drifting RED RAJ near the furlong marker and just missed. BEGIN AGAIN reluctant to load, was sent from the break and gained the rail and a share of the lead into the first turn, ceded the lead to CRAZY STORM heading down the backstretch then took command approaching the three furlong pole, came into the stretch with a two length got a little weary in deep stretch and was overtaken by a pair of fast closers in the final yards. CRAZY STORM sent hard from the break, seized the lead turning on to the backstretch, opened up a length, gave way to BEGIN AGAIN near the three furlong pole, was kept to task, was coming back on again in the final furlong but ran out of track. RED RAJ could not contest for the early lead despite the efforts of the rider, settled behind the pacesetters while saving ground, came under heavy pressure from the three furlong marker and finished evenly. DORADUS raced three wide into the clubhouse turn, was in striking distance passing the half-mile marker, loomed three wide near the quarter pole then flattened out and was outfinished in the late stages. BEAR ENCOUNTER raced mid-pack alone between the leading and trailing packs, lacked a rally and had little to offer in the stretch. WHATAFOOLBELIEVES was away in good order but lacked any early speed, lagged near the back of the field well behind the pace, stayed wide through the last and was never a factor.
