Chart notes
WORLD SHOWCASE had a stalking trip close to the back of the pack in the early going, made a sharp move getting forward position in the two path splitting foes at the seven sixteenths pole, reeled in the embattled duo around the turn, seized command three wide turning for home and was kept to the task to hold at the wire by a diminishing but comfortable margin at the finish line. BLUE SPIRIT travelled in mid-division on the rail, narrowed the gap but was in tight surroundings on the fence at the half, was checked mildly coming to the three eighths pole dropping back positions midway around the bend, regrouped to mount a rally at the quarter pole, angled to the four path for the stretch run and chased the winner home gaining on the winner at the wire. HUMBLE HEART stalked four deep down the backstretch, moved in to track the front pair four wide on the outside at the half, dropped back midway around the turn getting out slightly, swung out widest in the seven path straightening for home, was full of run late and finished up smartly to be a clear third while dueling for the place share as well. MADAM GWEN was unhurried trailing the field in the early stages, started to lengthen stride at the quarter pole still at the rear, swung out to the six path at the top of the stretch gathering speed, had to shift out further losing her path to be seven wide at the furlong marker and had a good late run to close in a garner a minor role at the finish. SCAT HUMOR settled in the two path watching the top two runners down the backside, was scrubbed on but could not keep up to rivals running throughout the turn, angled out five wide for the drive to the wire but could not get involved in the stretch running. LINDA'S OPAL was quite content to sit off the outside flank of the pacesetter down the backside moving comfortably, took over control outside three eighths out, edge away from the early leader in midturn, had no answer when the winner swept past outside at the top of the lane and had little left for the stretch run and yielded to rivals with a furlong remaining. EDEY'S VILLAGE was coaxed getting the lead in the early going, was headed outside by the three furlongs pole, came under a ride trying to keep up to the leaders on the fence at the quarter pole, had little left for the finish and wilted at the furlong marker.
