Chart notes
ARASHI tracked from between runners two to three wide mid-pack in the early going, angled eight wide turning for home, swept past in upper stretch and quickly drew clear while much the best. GHOSTLY SPITFIRE settled at the rear off the inside, was encouraged along midway on the far turn, fanned six wide into upper stretch then was guided out a further two paths, finished strongly but too late. FAST AND READY set the early pace from off the rail, faced pressure up the backstretch and was headed, vied inside just a short head in back, drifted out in the stretch, kept on to preserve show honors but lost place late. IRONSIDES angled in early, raced near the inside at the back early, shifted four to five wide near the three-eighths and launched a swift move taking a narrow lead outside the three-sixteenths, could not sustain the effort and flattened out. WAR IN CHARGE stalked early then prompted the pace with a nose in front coming past the five-eighths, dueled through the far turn, drifted out a bit turning for home, weakened in the stretch. STAYHONOR GOODSIDE stalked four wide outside the second flight, dropped back and faded. JO DADDY chased from inside, was asked at the five-sixteenths but had no response, was eased in the stretch, walked off.
