Chart notes
ARABIAN PRINCE tracked in midfield in the three path, edged up three wide outside challengers by midturn, swung out five wide posing the main opposition in early stretch and tenaciously wore down the frontrunner in the shadow of the wire for the late running score. WESTERN WHIRL broke sharp getting to the rail loose on the lead, rolled along up front moving well on the turn, continued to hold his own in the two path with rivals bearing down in upper stretch but could not fend off the relentless winner who kept coming at the wire. ROI SOLEIL settled outside in hand tracking the pacesetter down the back straight, closed in to press the pace between rivals at the half, was roused still keeping pace just behind the frontrunner on the turn, shifted out three wide in the fray in upper stretch, was no match for the front duo who drew away late but did fight on to win the duel for the third place award. ROAR OF THE CROWD trailed on the break, shifted to the outside into the backstretch, made an early move to prompt the pace three deep at the half, chased the frontrunner throughout the turn, battled up front four wide turning for home between foes, gave way up top at the eighth pole and just missed in the battle for the show award in the end. AMERICAN DECISION was outpaced at the rear going down the backside, made little movement around the turn while under a vigorous ride, shifted to the six path having clear run for the drive, had his best stride late closing in on runners but could improve position at the finish line. FAIRWAY TO HEAVEN travelled inside a rival watching the pacesetter down the backside, dropped back losing position when the field bunched up at the half, regressed on the rail around the bend, shifted out four wide for the run to the wire but had little to show in the stretch run.
