WALTER ME LAD travelled in the middle of the field in the two path, crept closer to the leaders between rivals on the turn, swung out widest in the seven path finding his best stride late and inched up outside horses to take control in the final seventy yards to edge away for the win at the finish line. CANYOUHEARMERUNNIN settled three deep in mid-pack, began to reach for more ground three wide on the turn closing the gap smartly by the quarter pole, loomed a menacing presence between foes in the six path turning for home, assumed the lead with a sixteenth remaining but did not have enough late to fend off the late charge by the winner outside in deep stretch. BACHELOR PAD was off just a step slow to begin, quickly recovered to duel inside along the backstretch, continued to have pressure up top outside while setting a rapid pace around the turn, put away the pesky early speed foe by the quarter pole, drifted out five wide softened up from the early battle but was still clinging onto the lead, tried to fight on, had little response by the sixteenth pole, could not go with the top two late but still managed to stubbornly stay on to hold between rivals for the show award. LONG POND was checked mildly between runners while in the three path in mid-backstretch seeing the field, began to lengthen stride picking up horses outside in midturn, was full of run five wide straightening out for home, shifted to the six path having a clear lane at the eighth pole and finished up strongly to just miss by a nod closing in for the show money outside runners. TRUEBELIEVE broke sharp for the early lead, smartly was reined back to watch the contesting pair along the backside, was hard ridden trying to reel in the duo through the turn, was in the hunt three wide inside foes at the top of the lane but stalled at the sixteenth outfinished by outside runners in deep stretch. STYLISH GENT battled three deep in the beginning, continue to hound the fast tempo around the bend, had little left giving way up top by the quarter pole and wilted in the four path between rivals in upper stretch. SEA SCOUT had a stalking role ahead of one runner along the backside, regressed on the turn to trail the pack at the quarter pole and had nothing to offer in the stretch drive.
