Chart notes
AFTERNOON HEAT dueled up front along the inside early, fell back into the turn while continuing to save ground, rebid along the rail in upper stretch, long drive to the rail, proved narrowly best in a determined effort. PERMAFROST broke alertly, allowed the dueling leaders to go early, three wide through the turn when beginning to advance on that pair late in the turn, put a head in front nearing the furlong marker, dueled late outside the winner, outfinished. GUIDED ARROW dueled up front in the two path early, gained a larger advantage through the turn, gave way from between the top two in upper stretch, finished up best of the rest. PINKY RING BLING last to leave, raced back, four wide into the stretch, lacked a closing response through the lane. MAN ON THE MOON within striking distance off the rail, three wide through the turn, lacked a closing kick. DEFLATER remained back, while racing in the two path. AXTON steadily faded inside.
