Chart notes
CANDYINTHEMORNING broke alertly and was sent to the early lead, set moderate fractions while well handled approaching the half-mile marker, showed the way into the turn and set the pace off of the rail nearing the quarter marker, set down into upper stretch, kicked clear at the furlong marker, drew away while kept to task into the final sixteenth and was geared down in deep stretch to win as much the best. HAKUHIA settled off of the moderate early pace, improved position four wide into the turn, was widest into upper stretch and ran evenly to the furlong marker, closed well into the late stages, could not impact the winner into deep stretch and outfinished the rest to secure place honors. CRIMSON SONATA prominent in the early going, stalked the moderate pace from outside of runners heading to the half-mile marker, attended to the pace three wide into the turn, outkicked into upper stretch, chased the winner to the furlong grounds, was outfinished late for second and held for third at the wire. PALACE MISCHIEF forwardly placed away from the start, chased the moderate early pace from between runners, saved ground into the turn, was well placed along the bend and ran in pursuit from the inside heading to the quarter pole, saved ground to the top of the stretch, ran evenly to the furlong marker and could not muster a late response. BEVERLY T rated just off of the moderate early pace, stalked between runners heading to the half-mile pole, chased two to three wide into the turn, was outrun into upper stretch and tired in the drive. DESTINY'S DIVA chased the moderate early pace from inside of runners, lost position at the three-eighths, dropped back along the turn and gave way in the stretch.
