Chart notes
LA POPIS prominent away from the start, stalked the moderate early pace outside of runners, was well placed approaching the turn, mounted a three to four wide bid nearing the quarter marker, battled for the lead into upper stretch, shook free and kicked clear at the furlong pole, clear into the final sixteenth, was geared down in deep stretch and just held for the win at the wire. SAHARA SUE allowed to settle in the early running, maintained an outside path into the turn, improved position four wide at the quarter marker, ran evenly to mid-stretch, angled widest at the furlong grounds, closed with a rush into the final sixteenth, just missed for the win in deep stretch and got up in time to secure the place honors. SHADOWED THOUGHTS forwardly placed in the early stages, tracked the moderate pace outside of rivals heading to the half-mile marker, was well placed while four to five wide into the turn, lost ground into the stretch, stayed on and re-rallied in the final sixteenth, was outfinished for second in deep stretch and just held at the wire for third. LUVAHAPPYENDING settled off of the moderate early pace while never far back, raced two to three wide and between foes into the turn, ran evenly to mid-stretch, finished well while navigating traffic in the final sixteenth and just missed for third at the wire. CASILLALATER bobbled at the start and was away a bit slowly, recovered and tracked the moderate early pace while not far back heading to the half-mile marker, saved ground into the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter pole, angled out in upper stretch, lost position at the furlong grounds, re-rallied in deep stretch and was outfinished for the minor awards. TIGERIZE broke alertly and was hustled to the early lead, set a moderate pace heading to the half-mile marker, showed the way into the turn while off of the rail, was pressured to the quarter marker, met the bid of LA POPIS and battled that rival into upper stretch, was repelled at the furlong marker and chased into the final sixteenth, could not find more in deep stretch and gave way late. HARBOR DEAREST broke in the air at the start and spotted the field to begin, rushed up and chased the moderate early pace from the inside, saved ground into the turn, tipped two wide nearing the quarter marker, was outrun into the stretch and did not threaten late. HARBOR'S ROSE raced close up to the moderate early pace, went up and pressed the pacesetter between rivals approaching the turn, disputed the pace three wide and between foes nearing the quarter marker, lost position into upper stretch and faded in the stretch drive.
