Chart notes
WAR SIGNAL took control right from the get-go, rolled along unchallenged down the back straight, kept on going in the far turn with no rivals in sight and improved the margin of victory finishing strongly down the stretch. SERENADING KITTEN was nestled on the rail sitting back of the pacesetter in the early stages, was roused midway on the last turn edging up for the place share at the top of the lane, was no match for the winner who was long gone in upper stretch but did fight on late to hold between foes for the second money. NICKI IS A BREEZE travelled in mid-pack with horses on both sides, picked up the pace between foes with a smart rally midway around the last turn, shifted five wide in range for a share turning for home and closed belatedly to capture the show money late. D'AURUM got to the fence stalking near the rear in the first turn, closed the gap along the backside, started to make a rally between horses three wide with five sixteenths from the wire, angled to the five path entering the stretch, darted to the rail while encouraged right-handed at the eighth pole and surged late to garner a minor role at the finish line. ALTA CALIBRE was content to track outside in the first turn, continued outside keeping an eye on the pacesetter along the backstretch, was urged to go after the leader in the far turn but made little gain, dueled four wide for the secondary share in upper stretch but flattened out at the sixteenth pole. TOP OF D MOUNTAIN travelled on the rail in mid-division in the early parts, came under a ride on the fence three eighths from home but could not accelerate with others who were making a run, stayed on the wrong lead on the rail in the lane and wilted at the furlong marker. BERTHA hesitated then bobbled soon after the start to trail in the early going, caught up to rivals outside by the half, took the overland route four wide making little impact midway around the last bend, shifted in to be three wide for the drive but lacked a rally down the stretch. BRIGHT SUNSHINE travelled four wide outside foes improving to midfield on the first turn, stalked in the third flight three deep outside runners along the backside, was scrubbed on with five sixteenths to go but was backed away through the field around the last bend, shortened stride turning for home and folded in upper stretch.
