GAMBE FORTE took contact from an inner rival at the start, showed the way inside of a pressing foe, dueled with that one in upper stretch, clung to an advantage while drifting out through the final sixteenth and narrowly held. SAINT PETER'S BAY pressed outside of the leader, sparked a duel nearing the lane, sparred into the final furlong, got herded outwardly by his inner counterpart through the late stages and just missed. COURAGEOUS CUPID brushed an outer rival leaving the gate, stalked along the inside, chased around the turn, sustained pursuit of the leading pair from the three to four path in upper stretch, ran on to narrow the gap late but needed more. CONCENTRATION was brushed by an inner rival at the start, tracked two wide and between horses, chased in the three path into the lane, floated wider in upper stretch, lacked a bid before yielding in hand late and dead-heated with an outer rival for fourth. LAST ATTACK bumped an outer rival at the start, tracked three deep, chased turning for home, floated out to the six path into the lane and failed to menace before reaching a tiring rival to dead-heat for fourth. TOSCANO trailed four wide and got outrun.
