Chart notes
ABITMISCHIEVOUS broke well but was unable to contest the pace in the early stages, raced six wide down the backstretch at the back of the field while being lightly hand ridden to keep close, responded when put under a more vigorous ride going into the turn, circled the field four wide and drew clear in mid-stretch. ZEN ZONE tracked just behind the duel, was looking to make a bid but had to idle behind horses approaching the quarter pole, got clear run turning into the stretch and finished well under steady handling and intermittent urging, was no match late for the winner but kept on well to gain the place. GUAGUARERO broke outward and made some contact wtih JOEY BRACKETS, dueled outside of HERMELINDA'S FANCY to the turn, took a short lead near the five-sixteenths pole then was taken on by ZEN ZONE at the top of the stretch, battled gamely to the final furlong but was outfinished by the top pair. G G GILLEY broke in at the start and put JOEY BRACKETS in tight, was up with the early pace battle, backed off approaching the seven-sixteenths pole then came under a ride, weakened and was not a factor in the stretch. HYDROPLANE raced close up but four wide to the turn, came under a ride but did not respond, swung five wide into the stretch and lacked a late bid. HERMELINDA'S FANCY broke well, was hustled to the front, dueled with GUAGUARERO to the quarter pole and tired in the stretch. JOEY BRACKETS got pinballed after the start, steadied and spotted the rest a head start, moved to the outside and chased down the backstretch, struggled to keep up on the turn, came three wide into the stretch and could not improve.
