CANDY CRUSHER settled inside of rivals in the early going, shifted off of the rail approaching the turn, raced three wide and between rivals along the bend, improved position at the quarter pole and mounted a four wide rally into the stretch, made a sustained run to mid-stretch, loomed nearing the sixteenth-marker, took command into deep stretch and edged away late to prove best. P TWENTYTWO tracked the solid early pace from the second flight, was well placed approaching the turn, chased the loose pacesetter three wide nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit into upper stretch, reeled in SAWYER'S SPEED past the furlong pole, vied for the lead between rivals into the final sixteenth, was outkicked by the winner in deep stretch and was a clear second. SAWYER'S SPEED broke sharply and sped to the early lead, drew to a clear advantage and carved out a solid pace heading to the half-mile marker, showed the way into the turn and set quick fractions while clear nearing the quarter pole, set down into upper stretch, maintained a clear lead at the eighth pole, was overtaken into the final sixteenth and held safely at the finish for third. HIGHLAND ECHO tracked the solid early pace from between runners, was well placed approaching the turn, chased the loose pacesetter two wide nearing the quarter pole, chased into the stretch, lost ground at the furlong marker and could not muster the needed late response. SILVERCROSS forwardly placed in the early stages, tracked the solid pace between runners heading to the half-mile marker, ran in pursuit two wide and between rivals nearing the quarter pole, green into the stretch, offered a mild late rally but could not impact the leaders late. SIR RANCHERO tracked the solid early pace from inside of runners, saved ground into the turn, chased from the rail into upper stretch, lacked the needed late response and finished evenly. HUNTING FOR GOLD lunged at the start then was crowded by an inner rival leaving the break and was away slowly, spotted the field to begin, trailed into the turn, chased two wide into the stretch and improved position in the late stages. WALK THE CAT forwardly placed early on, chased the solid pace from outside of runners heading to the half-mile marker, ran in pursuit four wide into the turn, lost position at the quarter pole, could not find a response into the stretch drive and gave way. TEDDY PANTAGES was squeezed leaving the start and broke a bit slowly, lacked early speed, raced four to five wide along the turn and did not factor in the stretch drive. PASTURE BEDTIME lacked early speed, saved ground to the top of the stretch and did not make an impact.
