Chart notes

I'M A GAMBLER (IRE) had a slim advantage on the outside after the break, flanked the pacesetter on the outside with a half mile to run travelling smoothly, regained the lead outside midturn, shifted to the three path with rivals on either side trying to close in, found a little more in reserve down the lane into the headwind and held safe fending off rivals in deep stretch. SOUPED UP tracked the lead pair on the rail down the backside, kept pace sitting just behind the pacesetter on the turn, shifted outside in the two path off the tiring early leader at the quarter pole, tried to reel in the winner while inside in the two path in the stretch drive but chased in vain to the finish line settling for the runners up share in the end. SCOOT DADDY travelled three deep watching the engaged pair down the back straight, edged up three wide around the bend to be in the thick of things in the four path in upper stretch, ran on evenly outside foes to the wire, could not close the gap on the winner down the lane and settled for the show money at the finish line. IRONSTONE settled between horses in the second flight down the backside, was in last with the field bunched up around the turn, shifted out widest in the five path turning for home, had little to offer in the stretch running but did finish up to garner a minor role in the end. BABBO prompted the issue early inside in the beginning, edged up to take the lead on the rail at the half, relinquished the top spot on the fence to the winner at the five sixteenths marker, backed away through the field inside saving ground around the turn and wilted on the fence by the furlong marker.
