Chart notes
FOREST VIXEN patiently stalked near the rear ahead of one runner down the backstretch, began to inch up three wide on the outside through the turn, angled out widest in the seven path turning for home and exploded past when switching leads in mid-stretch to overpower runners outside in the final sixteenth of a mile for the late running victory. KNOTTY AND NICE was under a snug hold behind the top two runners on the fence down the backside, was nudged on the rail waiting for the cue to move through the turn, started to mount a rally shifting out two wide at the quarter pole, loomed boldly in the three path in upper stretch, briefly poked her head in front for a moment coming up to the sixteenth pole but did not have enough late to match strides with the winner in deep stretch. BEAUMONT DRIVE travelled four deep on the outside watching the lead duo at the half, edged up three wide midway around the turn to be in the mix four wide straightening out for the drive, could not quicken with the top two stalling between runners at the sixteenth pole and dug in nearing the wire to save for the show award at the finish line. DADDY'S DAISY tracked the lead pair while in the three path between horses at the half, was hard ridden in the third flight outside making little headway on the turn, shifted out six wide just inside the eventual winner at the top of the lane and finished up willingly in deep stretch to come on late to garner a minor role in the end. MO TWILIGHT broke out bumping a challenger outside at the start, recovered to have the early advantage outside down the back straight, rolled along comfortably around the turn, was still up top but by a diminishing margin in upper stretch two wide, could not continue on late and faded inside runners in the final sixteenth of a mile. THATSITTHATSALL broke in bumping the inside rival on the start, was outpaced early on trailing down the backside, closed the gap on the field into the turn, took the short way around the bend still seeing the field, shifted out to the five path for the drive to the wire and managed to pass a weary foe in mid-stretch. ROOKIE COURT pressed the pace on the rail down the backside, settled on the rail trying to keep up just behind the frontrunner through the turn, had little left for the stretch drive inside and folded in the two path at the furlong marker and was not persevered with in the late stages.
