Chart notes
PLUIE D'AVRIL settled in mid-division between horses down the backside, tracked in the second flight with runners on both sides around the bend, was roused for more four wide at the quarter pole, shifted out five wide for the stretch run, wore down rivals through the lane and spurted away for the outright lead in the final seventy yards. BRIDGE TO NOWHERE loped along on the rail stalking ahead of only one runner along the backside, began to make a move picking up runners outside with five sixteenths to go, angled out widest in the eight path at the top of the lane and with a solid late surge flew past horses but could not get to the winner who spurted away in deep stretch for the win. MI TORMENTA was in hand watching the lead trio outside down the backstretch, moved in three wide through the turn to bid for the lead at the quarter pole, battled outside in the two path in mid-stretch for the front, could not fend off the closing in rivals late and faded in the final seventy yards to settle for third money at the wire. CHARLOTTE'S SILVER stalked close to the back of the pack three deep down the backstretch, commenced a run advancing three wide outside foes midway a round the bend, was in the conversation six wide straightening out for home but evened out in the late stages to settle on the fringes in the end. T'PRING travelled on the rail in midfield, dropped back on the fence midway around the turn, shifted out to the five path lacking running room behind horses at the top of the stretch, shifted out further in the seven path at the furlong marker finally getting clear and came with a sharp late run in deep stretch. NORMA NO vied between rivals in the two path in the early going, battled on the lead having the rail throughout the turn, was still clinging onto the top spot inside runners on the fence in upper stretch but faded in the last sixteenth. OLD SECRETS veered out on the break to trail the field down the backside, made no progression at the rear through the turn and finished with some interest to pass weary foes in the last eighth of a mile. TAYLORMOON was jostled between foes on the break, quickly recovered to prompt the issue on the rail down the back straight, could not keep up to the lead group at the three furlong marker, saved ground holding position through the turn but weakened on the rail at the furlong pole. COLOR FORCE had a slim lead in the three path on the outside down the backstretch, still continued on up top by a narrow margin between foes in midturn, had little left for the drive and emptied out in the three path in upper stretch.
