Chart notes
BEACH FRONT was reserved off the early pace, moved up three-wide nearing the quarter pole, caught RED HURRICANE at the eighth pole then dueled with that one to the wire and was fully extended to prevail narrowly. RED HURRICANE dueled with AMIGO'S AFFAIR from along the outside into the stretch, shook him off then was engaged by BEACH FRONT nearing the eighth pole and held on gamely to lose a tough decision after a prolonged drive. MONTEREY PENINSULA saved ground while being allowed to settle, came two-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. THE EQUINEST was unhurried early, rallied five-wide into the stretch and was gaining late. AMIGO'S AFFAIR dueled with RED HURRICANE for the led from along the inside to the stretch and tired.
