Chart notes
BODI ZAFA stalked in behind the leader, moved out four wide commencing an advance, took the lead in mid-stretch and edged clear. MIDNIGHT APPROVAL rated in behind racing up close near but off the fence, moved out a bit further leaving the far turn and again in upper stretch with aim on the leaders, kept on four to five wide to get up for second late. DESERT BREEZE soon led, set the pace from off the rail, was challenged and overtaken by mid-stretch, weakened and lost place late. DARK PASSENGER settled outside toward the rear, advanced a bit up the backstretch, shifted to the rail early on the far turn and continued to advance inside into upper stretch then evened out. ROADSWITCHER settled off the pace, advanced three to four wide on the far turn, needed more in the lane. GONE GREY bumped with a rival at the start, moved forward outside three to four wide on the first turn, pressed the leader up the backstretch, dropped back a bit still three to four deep on the far turn, floated wide in the stretch and failed to make a late impact. AMERICAN TANGO was bumped at the start, raced toward the back off the rail, failed to menace. BY DECREED reared at the start losing the irons in the process and spotting the field about a dozen lengths, brought up the rear racing far back, was never a threat. FLEET NEILINA chased briefly inside then steadily retreated. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
