Chart notes
A LOT OF VERVE settled off the pace outside, shifted in leaving the backstretch, advanced inside runners but off the fence leaving that bend, bid between foes taking the lead just inside the furlong marker, drifted out while moving clear and held sway. MT. ZEROR was a bit hard to load, pursued the pace four wide, was bumped at the top of the stretch while moving out, rallied seven to eight wide to gain the place. JUSTIN AZTECA chased from outside four to five wide, floated eight to nine wide for the drive and ran on but needed more. SOUTH COAST ROUTE broke just a tad awkwardly and lacked early speed despite encouragement, raced inside on the turn, angled ten wide at the top of the stretch, finished well but too late. DIAMOND RAPPER quickly moved clear, set the pace near the inside, was overtaken just past the eighth pole and gave way. ARTETA was outpaced early, swung eleven wide turning for home, was not a threat. COLONEL PUNCH switched out early, chased from off the rail, was about three deep into and on the turn, drifted out leaving that bend bumping a rival at the top of the stretch, came up empty. PER RULING #ECM2025-09 FROM HIWU, MT. ZEROR WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM SECOND TO UNPLACED DUE TO A MEDICATION VIOLATION.
