THIRSTY FRIEND rated off of the solid early pace, was well placed while between rivals approaching the turn, tracked the pace three wide nearing the quarter marker, roused four wide into the stretch, loomed at the furlong marker then wore down foes into the final sixteenth, took command into deep stretch and held well late for a determined win. GUAGUARERO showed good speed away from the start, engaged outside of HYRDOPLANE in the early stages and dueled that runner into the turn, disputed decent fractions to the quarter marker, shook free nearing the furlong grounds, met the bid of THIRSTY FRIEND into the final sixteenth, was bested in deep stretch and held well late for second. MY AMIGO well placed in the early going, tracked the solid pace while saving ground into the turn, chased from the inside into upper stretch, finished well in the late stages, could not catch the top pair in deep stretch and was clear of the rest for third. HYDROPLANE went up to contest the solid early pace inside of GUAGUARERO, dueled into the turn, fought on into upper stretch, could not match strides into the final sixteenth and weakened late. DAPITAN STAR settled off of the decent early pace, saved ground into the turn, tipped two wide into upper stretch, offered a mild rally in the stretch drive but failed to threaten late. SARK close up in the early stages, chased the decent pace three wide into the turn, lost ground at the quarter marker and did not offer a late response. UNA BRAVA settled off of the solid early pace, went three wide into the turn, trailed to the quarter pole and did not factor in the stretch drive. This race was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
