WOUND UP broke best then angled to the inside once clear of the field, raced nicely on the lead a length or two in front of the rest, was confidently ridden to the stretch then responded when set down passing the three-sixteenths pole and won clear under a mild hand ride. HORSE DOCTOR was hustled from the gate to gain forward, tracked just behind WOUND UP then had to be put into a drive from the three furlong marker to keep up, was no match for that one but kept to task in the lane and won the race for second. SATANTA reserved early, was content to race near the rear of the field through the early stages, kept to the inside and began to rally under steady handling from the three furlong pole, tipped out to the three path and ran on under steady handling and urging but came up short. DEFENSE WINS was pushed to get forward position from the break, raced with the tracking group through the early stages then responded when asked to go on from the seven-sixteenths marker came three wide into the stretch, finished willingly but was not good enough. POUR ON THE COLE was unhurried from the break, raced three to four wide down the backstretch and was last going into the turn, continued wide around the turn and into the stretch and raced evenly to the wire. MAN OVERBOARD was slow into stride and last away from the gate, rushed up down the backstretch to join the tracking group, was outkicked from the five-sixteenths pole and was not a factor in the stretch. IRREFUTABLE was away well, tracked the pacesetter three wide down the backstretch, did not quicken with the rest from the three furlong pole and showed little in the stretch. PER RULING ECM2025-11 FROM HIWU, MAN OVERBOARD WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM SIXTH TO UNPLACED DUE TO A POSITIVE TEST.
