AMANOFMYSTATURE forwardly placed away from the start, was caught a bit in tight early on and steadied on the run to the first turn, saved ground into the backstretch, lost position at the half-mile marker, trailed into the second turn, stopped in upper stretch, was eased through the lane and walked off under his own power. NORTH COUNTRY off a step slow to begin, was hustled in the early stages, chased five wide into the first turn then contested the pace into the backstretch run, disputed modest fractions nearing the half-mile marker, vied three wide into the far turn, was outrun to the quarter pole, eased through the stretch drive and walked off under his own power.
