Chart notes
OAKEN dueled between horses up the backstretch, came around the turn in the two path and kicked clear in the stretch. SERENDIPITOUS chased the leaders on the inside through the opening quarter, saved ground around the turn, challenged entering the stretch and gained ground late. WEEKENDER raced off the pace on the outside early, swung out to the five path coming around the turn, launched a bid passing the quarter pole and gained ground quickly to the wire. BUCKEYE RED dueled on the outside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the four path around the turn, could not go with the eventual winner in the stretch and chased that rival home from there. EL MARRO raced in the middle of the pack on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the three path and improved position in the lane. MUCHO PRIMO tracked the pace setters on the inside thorough the opening stages, continued around the bend in the four path and kept on in the stretch. DOUGS MORNING PICK raced off the pace on the inside early, saved ground around the turn and passed tiring horses in the lane while never threatening. STRIKE ONE raced in the middle of the pack on the inside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the three path and was outkicked in the lane. SHOWTIME BOY dueled on the outside up the backstretch, dropped back to chase the leaders from the two path around the turn and continued to fade in the stretch. KID RUSSELL pressed the pace on the outside through the opening quarter, chased the frontrunners from the two path around the bend and tired in the lane. MANNFORD hopped up mildly leaving the gate, trailed well behind the field throughout, raced in the four path around the turn and was never a factor.
