Chart notes
GREAT BARRIER in the second flight while in the two path, advanced on the dueling leaders while moving three wide late in the turn, put a head in front entering the stretch, drew steadily clear while being kept to pressure. TIME ANDBEYOND away in good order from the outside, dueled up the backstretch and into the turn, vied between horses while holding a narrow advantage exiting the turn, headed by the winner soon after, unable to match strides with that one to the wire, came out late, saved second. PEARCY ROAD behind the pace while saving ground, continued to track the lead flight while moving a bit closer along the rail late turn, in some traffic entering the stretch, well clear of the others when free of company the final furlong. COOL AND CLOUDY lacked speed while off the rail for a half, in some traffic outside off PEARCY ROAD turning for home, dropped to the rail soon after, improved position up the rail while not a serious threat. BATTEN DOWN MARK off a step slow, moved up to a position in the second flight while three wide, within striking position turning for home, went evenly through the lane in lacking a closing kick. ALL GREEN LIGHTS broke well, dueled up front along the inside for a half and began to weaken. STAUF fell back to trail after the start, was never a factor.
