Chart notes
MAX DOT SOCKS prompted the leader from the outside up the backstretch, fell back a bit late in the turn, got back to that same foe inside the furlong grounds, kicked clear. MORE POWER took command after breaking with the leaders, extended that advantage through the turn, continued to hold a daylight advantage past the furlong marker, yielded late to the winner staying well clear of the rest. TO TOO TWENTYTWO in the second flight while racing outside, three wide through the turn, proved no match for the top two in the drive, up for the show. PERFECT DIAL between horses while racing with the second flight in the run up the backstretch, closest to the top two while moving to the inside midway on the turn, evenly paced through the lane, caught for the show. CAVANAL void of speed, three wide trip, improved position in the drive while not posing a serious threat. DENALI LIGHTNING behind the top two in the second group while saving ground, had little left for the stretch run. GEE NO HOLLANDER in mid pack while racing off the inside, continued to race one paced through the lane in lacking a closing response. PEA EYE in the main body along the inside, steadied then stumbled over stricken foe with just over a half mile remaining, fell back to lose all chance. RUN DEANO RUN off a step slow, remained back while racing off the inside and was never a threat. FLOATING SMOKEY was finished after a half, well back. RT HOOK SUGAR RAY brush at the start, raced back off the pace, fell approaching the four furlong marker, transported off the track via the equine ambulance. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE RUN UP THE BACKSTRETCH, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
