Chart notes
MOMENT'S PLEASURE stalked in the two path, bid three wide at the quarter pole, took over into the lane, put SEPTEMBER MAGIC away at the eighth pole, held a short lead over rivals on both sides in the final sixteenth and stubbornly held. LADY CLAYPOOLE (IRE) raced outside a rival near the back of the pack early, gained four then five wide around the far turn, launched a bid and fought three deep into deep stretch but just missed. WORD PLAY (GB) stalked along the rail, waited behind the leader through the far turn, tipped to the two path entering the lane, bid inside MOMENT'S PLEASURE in the final furlong and got outkicked by the top pair. SHOCKING GREY unhurried in the beginning and moved inside, patiently handled to the stretch, asked at the top of the lane, got put in a bit tight at the eighth pole and kept trying from the fence to earn a minor award. CONTROL FUNCTION pulled while reserved early on from inside, lacked room at the five-sixteenths pole, trailed near the rail into the lane, roused in upper stretch and offered a mild response between rivals. TIARAQUEEN (GB) raced keenly along the rail then moved into the two path on the clubhouse turn, continued two wide into the second bend, eased out and came four wide into the drive and lacked the needed late kick in the final furlong. IDESSIA settled three then two wide outside a rival at the back, roused in the two path at the five-sixteenths pole, swung out leaving the bend and into the stretch and could not make an impact. SEPTEMBER MAGIC stepped to the front and angled to the inside, showed the way up the backstretch, challenged by outer rival with a quarter mile left to run, relinquished the lead entering the lane, yielded in upper stretch and weakened. KAHURARU (FR) settled two then three wide early, continued three wide around the far turn, moved out in the drive and lacked the needed response. FREE AND HUMBLE was closest in pursuit in the two path in the opening stages, chased two then three wide on the far turn and faded.
