Chart notes
GROUND CONTROL showed the way unencumbered in the two path, inched further clear around the far turn, widened under a drive in upper stretch and was geared down with seventy yards to go. SAVED BY GRACE broke a beat slow, raced at the rear in the four to five path around the first turn, trailed while saving ground around the far turn, swung out to the five path while building momentum entering the lane, rallied to claim place in the final sixteenth and was closing in on the wrapped-up winner late. HOPEITSMYLUCKYDAY stalked along the inside, tipped to the three path to be outside of the clear leader, chased that one while remaining in touch around the far turn, but proved no match and lost place late. BACK STREET BABY broke half a beat slow, saved ground off of the pace, improved position approaching the far turn, but failed to sustain a bid. BIRDIE CALL stalked in the three to four path into the backstretch, but gave way with a half mile to go. IN B. J.'S HONOR pursued from midpack in the two to three path around the first turn, then faded between horses around the far turn.
