Chart notes
WORCESTER saved ground around the turn disputing the pace with SWIFTY DEVIL, opened up in upper stretch and held sway with something in reserve. ST. JUDE , bumped on both sides leaving the starting gate, remained along the inner rail around the turn and rallied. SWIFTY DEVIL dueled outside the winner to the stretch and faded. MARGIE'S FUN SON raced in the three path around the turn and lacked the necessary response. THREE CAPTAINS , well positioned early, stayed in the two path on the turn and weakened in the drive. WITHOUT PRETENCE bore out and bumped ST. JUDE leaving the starting, entered the turn well back between horses, swung to the six path in mid stretch and passed a pair of tired rivals. DISPUTED CLAIM stayed along the inner rail around the turn and was not a factor. KING COVEE , four deep on the turn weakened.
