Chart notes
ARROGATES SPIRIT broke on top, dueled first turn closest to but not on the inside, continued to show the way into the far bend, shook clear along the rail turning for home, drew out under steady pressure through the lane. WARTIME HERO five wide into the first turn, angled in a bit to be three wide, began to advance in some traffic into the second bend, came five wide for the drive, rallied to be clearly second best, no match for the winner. FAMILY TRADITION forwardly placed outside, moved closest while four wide midway on the final turn, flattened out through the lane, narrowly saved the show. COLOSI allowed to settle while racing off the pace, three wide through the final bend, continued with some mild interest to the wire, narrowly missed the show. STAR NATION fell back to trail after the start, angled four wide turning for home, staged a mild rally. COST BASIS in tight at the start, moved up to press then duel with the winner in the three path, remained on equal terms with that one the middle half, gave way in the drive. GOLD BARON void of speed, went one paced in the two path, lacked a closing kick. EUCLID AVENUE in mid pack while four wide through the first turn, continued well wide, five to six wide turning for home, lacked a closing response. DESOTO'S WAR tracked the pace along the inside, began to fade after a half.
