DONT FIGHT THE FED broke in and bumped, stalked on the inside then in the two path early, checked three deep at the five-eighths pole, moved up to press between rivals on the backstretch, vied three deep then outside ANDTHEOMOFTHEBRAVE on the far turn, battled head to head with that rival through the length of the stretch and dug in to edge the runner-up. ANDTHEOMOFTHEBRAVE stepped to the front and moved inside, took pressure into the backstretch, showed the way under pressure from a trio of rivals past the half-mile pole, held a narrow advantage through the far turn, battled with DONT FIGHT THE FED down the lane and came up just short in the end. BRAZENLY rated two then three wide around the clubhouse turn, raced four deep early on the backstretch, dropped back slightly and moved inward, chased two to three wide on the far turn, tipped out in the lane, finished well and got up for third. INVESTALOT took a bump leaving the gate, lost his path along the rail early and started to pull badly between rivals, continued to tug the rider forward on the backstretch, stalked along the rail through the far turn, moved out in upper stretch, showed late run but got outkicked for third. BIG GEORGE got bumped between rivals leaving the gate, trailed inside early, went outside a rival on the far turn, offered a mild response when called upon but failed to threaten. MOOGIE SON unhurried in the beginning and moved into the two path, chased two to three wide on the far turn, steered out in the lane and failed to threaten. DRUIDIC stalked from inside in-hand, got brushed by outer rival early on the backstretch, went up to press the pace between rivals, failed keep up with the top pair at the quarter pole and weakened down the lane. SMOKEM EZ settled in the three path then moved out four wide late on the first turn, angled in on the backstretch, saved ground while dropping back to last around the second bend and was never a factor. BLAME THE CLASSIC raced up close while pulling on the outside of the pacesetter, came in to bother rivals at the five-eighths pole, pressed four deep past the half-mile pole, failed to keep up and lost ground through the far turn, remained wide to the stretch and weakened.
