EMPIRE'S CLASSIC bumped twice leaving the gate, reserved to the inside, moved out on the backstretch outside rivals, advanced four deep on the far turn, dueled in the late stages outside KAWAZAKI (IRE) and got outkicked by the winner while nosing out KAWAZAKI (IRE) for second. KAWAZAKI (IRE) bobbled a few strides out of the gate, stalked outside a rival, tipped three wide on the far turn, challenged leaving that bend, took over in upper stretch, resisted into the final sixteenth and yielded grudging in the end. RESEMBLANCE bumped leaving the gate, settled in the three path, stalked three deep into the far turn, spun four wide off the turn, moved out in the lane, brushed with inner rival at the sixteenth pole and got outkicked by the top trio. CONCORD BRIDGE got bumped on both sides at the start, traveled three wide off the pace, went between rivals on the backstretch, chased two then three wide on the far turn, tipped out for the stretch run, rallied between but got put in tight and brushed with outer rival at the sixteenth pole and could not regain momentum. OSAGE CREEK veered out and bumped at the start, went up to duel from inside then cleared around the first turn, showed the way off the rail up the backstretch, led a bid off the rail while being challenged by a pair of rivals entering the lane, lost command in upper stretch, lost command at the eighth pole and weakened in the late stages. SUPREME COAST got bumped around leaving the gate, steered to the inside trailing early, angled three wide around the far turn, moved out in the lane and showed a mild response to improve. TRAVAIL stalked from inside, moved up leaving the backstretch, chased on the fence to the stretch and flattened out. FLEET BROTATO bumped leaving the gate, tracked two wide then moved inside, got shuffled back to lose positions on the far turn and could not rally. STICK SHIFT broke in, went up to duel from outside, ceded command on the clubhouse turn, stalked two wide through the far turn and weakened down the lane. BLACK AS MY HEART bumped and steadied when losing path at the start, pulled on the inside into the backstretch, lacked room in tight quarters at the quarter pole, ran up behind a rival and checked in the final furlong and failed to threaten.
