SUNDAY GILT chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked three wide and advanced into the turn taking over command three furlongs from home, remained patiently handled and swung four wide into upper stretch, got set down straightened away and went clear under a drive to prevail. HAVE A CIGAR chased seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, swung five to six wide into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one, kept on safe for the place honors. ISLAND CHARLIE broke in at the start bumping MAGNI, cut the pace four then two wide under pressure early from TRINITY RIVER and then MAGNI before being confronted by the aforementioned pair into the turn, yielded the front under coaxing at the three-eighths and gave chase, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, got shaken off straightened away and weakened in the late stages while clear of the rest for the show honors. MAGNI hit the near side stall and was bumped at the start by ISLAND CHARLIE, chased three wide bidding inside to prompt the pace with nine-sixteenths to go, got shaken off at the seven-sixteenths and was coaxed along through the turn fading, went three wide into upper stretch and weakened. TRINITY RIVER showed brief speed prompting the leader from the five path early on, tucked three wide into the turn and was shaken off half a mile from home, faded and went four to five wide into upper stretch and tired. DOMINICAN PIRATE chased along the inside under prolonged coaxing from the half mile pole, angled out six to seven wide into upper stretch, made no impact. FINES CREEK chased just off the inside and then along the inside under coaxing from the half mile pole, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and faltered. A MILLION STORIES chased four then three wide under urging from the seven-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, tired, and was eased home to the finish.
