Chart notes
PAYNE lacked speed inside, continued to save ground turn, cut the corner to improve in to the stretch, rallied up the rail to finish up willingly and earn the dead head. SAMURAI PRINCE came out early to bother a couple of outer rivals, pressed the pace three wide, vied into the stretch, put a head in front inside the furlong marker, dug in gamely late to finish on equal terms with PAYNE. HIGHER STANDARD moved up to narrowly set the pace along the inside, continued to hold a narrow advantage into the stretch, headed with less than a furlong remaining, hung on stubbornly. GOT THUNDER in mid pack while racing outside, four to five wide into the stretch, staged a mild rally. BRITERDAYZAHEAD with the pace while between horses, continued to vie into the lane and upper stretch, yielded the final furlong. MANTA REY bothered in the early going, trailed well back, swung out five wide turning for home, finished willingly while too late. DAZZLEMESILVER behind the pace along the inside, two path into the lane, weakened. HELLO HOT ROD bothered just after the start, raced in mid pack and three wide, had little left for the stretch. AMERICAN LAW void of speed outside, five wide through the turn, made little impact through the stretch. SYNTHESIS back off the pace and the inside, three wide through the turn while between horses, remained back. BEN DIESEL lacked speed, remained back while four wide through the turn. CALIFORNIA TIGER last to leave, moved up to race in the second flight off the rail and between foes for a half, gave way in the drive to trail home.
