Chart notes
MISS MAXIMUS raced forwardly along the inside before yielding back nearing the half mile pole, rated at the rear tipping two wide turning for home, rallied inside of rivals leaving upper stretch, bid outside the leader reaching the sixteenth pole and drew clear. AZTEC EMPRESS led narrowly from a pair of outer pressers into the turn, shook free in upper stretch but was caught by an outer bidder at the sixteenth pole. FLIGHT ON RACE DAY vied two wide and between horses, gave way in the three path in upper stretch, dueled for show with an outer counterpart through the final furlong and held. GOLD PLUS prompted three deep, but yielded in the four path in upper stretch, vied for show thereafter but missed. FROST AND FIRE broke a step slow, stalked in the two path before moving to the inside around the turn and faded. MARY'S BOON leaned out at the start, crept closer in the four path into and around the turn, but flattened out entering the lane and tired.
