Chart notes
SWAYBACK MOBIL stalked the pace to midway on the turn, rallied to engage the leaders leaving the quarter pole, drifted out to the six path while taking a clear lead in upper stretch and held the closer safe in a drive. DRILL CITY reserved of the pace while racing six wide down the backside, angled in on the turn saving ground, cut the corner turning for home and rallied up the fence well to be second best while unable to get the winner. STRIKE PLATE prompted the pace down the backside, rallied to the lead on the turn and could not sustain the bid weakening down the lane. GUESS AGAIN broke a step slow to be at the back, pulled up into contention down the backside without urging, angled five wide to be prominent turning for home and finished evenly. EARL'S STORMY WIND trailed down the backstretch, swung six wide to mount a brief bid on the turn and flattened out. WAR ON THE RIVER was well place just off the leader tracking the pace through the turn and faded in the lane. JAC'S EMPIRE showed brief speed to set the pace and gave way on the bend.
