BERNIETAKESCHARGE disputed the pace on the outside, moved to a solo lead near the nine-sixteenths, dropped from the two path to the rail early on the turn, responded well under a drive in the stretch, shook off a foe near the sixteenth-pole and just held under strong urging. NEXT ON STAGE bumped with a rival at the start, showed speed and contested the pace, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths pole, chased inside to the two path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch, gained on the winner in the final furlong and just missed. POINTS IS POINTS bumped with a rival at the start, settled off the pace, chased in the four path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the five path and willingly earned the show. BELLS BEACH was hustled from the gate, settled off the pace, saved ground while urged along on the turn, moved out in upper stretch, kept on to the finish and earned the last spot in the superfecta. FADE TO GREY broke a step slow, took a very awkward stride near the eleven-sixteenths pole and lost footing, made a bid in the five path on the turn, battled with the winner until near the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished. PRIDES CROSSING bobbled at the start then bumped with a foe, settled amongst rivals, moved from the three path to the two path near the seven-sixteenths pole, made a bid on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and weakened. BROWN SUGA BABE bumped with a rival at the start then stumbled badly, had the rider lose both irons briefly before regaining footing, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, shifted out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. DOT MARIE broke a step slow, moved out then settled on the far outside, angled in significantly late on the backstretch, went around most of the turn in the two path then dropped to the rail and failed to respond. PATTY CAKES was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, raced in the three path on the turn and also failed to respond. STAMP OF APPROVAL disputed the pace, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths, fell further to the rear in the two path on the turn and had nothing left.
