FRIZZANTE was hustled from the gate, saved ground on the first turn, was well placed just off the pace, chased in the two then three path on the far turn, took the lead in upper stretch, shook clear while beginning to drift out under a left-handed crop into the final furlong, drift out some more under challenge from the un-official runner-up in the final sixteenth and just held. STRAPPED bumped with a rival at the start, raced in the three path on the first turn, jostled with a foe near the five-eighths pole, was urged along in the four path on the far turn, rallied in upper stretch, closed well on the outside to loom boldly coming to the sixteenth-pole, was carried out while drawing alongside FRIZZANTE in the final sixteenth and just missed. TRAFFIC MASTER established a forward position early, dropped from the four path to the three path on the first turn, prompted the pace on the outside, vied in the two path on the far turn, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened while able to get the show. SCAT TU TAP bumped with a foe at the start, showed speed between horses then was taken in hand into the first turn, raced in the two path on that bend, jostled with a foe while trying to move out around the five-eighths pole, was urged late on the backstretch, lost position in tight quarters near the seven-sixteenths pole, chased in the two to three path on the far turn and tired. MELT WITH YOU broke out then brushed with an opponent, raced in the four path on the first turn, settled on the outside, moved closer with five furlongs to run, dropped back in the five path on the far turn and came up empty. WAITLIST bobbled slightly at the start then brushed with a foe, dropped back while having his path taken early, lagged at the rear while inside to the two path on the turns and failed to respond. SENEGAL bumped with rivals at the start, went to the front, dropped from the three path to the two path on the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch, vied inside on the far turn, dropped back in upper stretch and gave way. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN, FRIZZANTE WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST AND PLACED SECOND FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE FINAL SIXTEENTH
