Chart notes
TRUST DADDY close up to the decent early pace, was well placed approaching the turn, asked for run three wide nearing the quarter marker, vied for the lead into upper stretch then took command nearing the furlong grounds, drew away into the final sixteenth and was kept to task late under steady hand urging. I DON'T GET IT allowed to settle in the early going, gained ground four wide into the turn, ran evenly to mid-stretch, was no match for the winner into the final sixteenth and was best of the rest. PROVEN HOPE away slowly leaving the start, trailed in the early stages, improved position nearing the quarter marker, swung three wide into upper stretch, could not impact the top pair into the final sixteenth and ran on late to earn the show honors. CHIEF BRADY away in good order, assumed early command then ceded to HEZAKOOLKAT and pressed the pace outside of that rival heading to the half-mile marker, attended to the moderate pace into the turn, vied between rivals into upper stretch, could not keep pace with the winner into the final furlong, weakened in the final sixteenth and was outfinished for the minor awards. THIRD STREET tracked the decent early pace from between runners, gained ground into the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter marker, was outkicked into upper stretch and faltered in the final furlong. BOBBY BRINKLEY allowed to settle early on, saved ground into the turn, swung out into the stretch and did not factor in the stretch drive. WISH MAN tracked the decent early pace from the inside, saved ground into the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter marker, got caught in tight behind a tiring rival into upper stretch, lacked a response into the final furlong and gave way. HEZAKOOLKAT prominent away from the start, engaged with CHIEF BRADY in the early going and set a contested pace inside of that rival heading to the half-mile marker, carved out moderate fractions into the turn, overtaken into upper stretch, was outrun to the furlong marker and stopped in the late stages.
