Chart notes
ROCKALL went to the front, drove clear, saved ground around the final turn, was collared by QUARTER RAT down the lane, came out, brushed rival and pulled clear again before the wire. QUARTER RAT pressed the pace, raced close throughout, was brushed down the home stretch, checked, as rival came out and held on for second. MOKINGS pressed the pace, forwardly placed throughout, finished wide and was outfinished for second. THUNDER ROAD raced near the middle of the field, saved ground around the final t urn, made a stretch bid and missed third. INSPECTOR ED raced within striking distance, came around the first turn four wide, raced outside around the second turn, faded and was no threat late. SHANKINSTINE broke out, raced near the back, had an outside trip and was never close. HAIL THE CAT always raced near the back and showed little. THE JOCKEY OF #5 QUARTER RAT LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #1 ROCKALL FOR INTERFERENCE DOWN THE HOME STRETCH. AFTER VIEWING REPLAYS STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION.
