Chart notes
GIGANTE stalked along the inside, loomed a danger while awaiting racing room from the pocket around the far turn, committed to a rail charge in upper stretch, slipped through before forging an advantage at the furlong grounds and edged clear. IDRATHERBEBLESSED showed the way in the two path, led in hand as pursuers on both sides threatened a danger, dug in to resist a challenge from an inner bidder in upper stretch, got headed by that one at the furlong grounds and fought on to prove second best. MONEY SUPPLY tracked from midpack in the four path, advanced with seven sixteenths to go to press the leader from the three path around the far turn, but required urging to sustain his mild bid turning for home, yielded to the top pair in upper stretch and was best of the rest. HAPPY AMERICAN trailed along the inside, then in the three path around the far turn, moved up between rivals while moving to the four path nearing the lane and failed to threaten the top trio thereafter. DUKE OF CARTHANIA pursued from the two path and made little impact. CITY MAN stalked the leader from the three path, but faded between horses entering the far turn, weakened turning for home and was eased through the lane.
