Chart notes
MANDOLIN WIND in a bit tight just after the start, pressed the leader from the outside in the two path, took over turning for home, shook clear under moderate pressure then held the runner up safe late. AUTO GLIDE unhurried for five furlongs in the two path, began to advance midway on the final turn, angled to the rail turning for home, rallied up the inside to be getting to the winner in the late going while edging clear for the place. VITTORIO broke on top, set the pace along the inside, offered brief resistance to the winner when that one took over exiting the final turn, could not match strides to the wire then also failed to contain the runner, narrowly prevailed for the show. PIKE PLACE tracked the pace along the inside, moved out and crept a bit closer three wide with a quarter to run, lacked a further bid and was outfinished for the show. FIFTY CENT DOLLARS forwardly placed three wide for six furlongs, gave way.
