Chart notes
BELLAMY BROTHER raced within contention, saved ground around the final turn, made a late bid and drove clear before the wire. TRIPS TO WIN sprinted to the front, drove clear, proved no match late for the winner, but was best of others. HOUSTONS EAGLE lacked early speed, gained ground late, but was no match for the top two. MISSISSIPPI CO. raced near the middle of the field, made a mild bid and finished evenly. MAGIC BIND raced within striking distance, made a bid at the 1/2 pole, faded and was no threat late. CAJUN COUNTRY lacked early speed, moved up, racing outside around the final turn and was done. MY PAL SKY hesitated at the start, trailed in the early going and was never close. TARGET READY pressed the early pace, dropped back, was eased to the wire and walked off. A FOOL FOR CARLOS showed brief speed, faded, pulled up around the final turn and was vanned off.
