CAPITAL HEAT broke sharply and was hustled to the front with a trio of challengers giving chase, started to pull ahead leaving the three furlong marker, came three wide into the stretch well clear of the rest, finished well under steady handling and intermittent urging and was widening in the end. BEA MISCHIEF was part of the early pace scramble holding the inside position, was unable to go on with the eventual winner but was kept to task down the stretch and earned the place in the final yards. ALOHA KITTEN got a good break and vied between horses to the turn, could not go on when CAPITAL HEAT drew away from the field but came into the lead in clear second, was finishing well under steady handling but was unable to save the place. PURRFECT MOON broke well and was briefly up with the early pace battle, dropped back before the half-mile marker, had only one horse beaten entering the turn then found a second wind in the stretch under steady urging and was rapidly gaining ground late only to run out of time. ALWAYS GALLANT broke well but was unable to keep up with the pace, kept to the inside but raced with the back half of the field to the turn, advanced into contention approaching the quarter pole, came out four wide for the stretch run and finished well. FOR FUN lacked early foot, then was a little hard to place while behind the field early on, navigated a clever trip through the turn, tipped out six wide for the stretch, drifted out under right handed urging and finished evenly. CAN'THELPFALLIN (IRE) roused early to get forward position, raced just behind the dueling leaders into and through the turn, tipped out four wide for the stretch run, loomed to mid-stretch then weakened late. CIDSTAYINURLAINE broke in a tangle and was slow away, advanced rapidly to regain contact with the field before the turn, went three wide through the turn then five wide into the stretch and flattened out. CARLA'S HONOR raced mid-pack in the three path down the backstretch and through the turn, was in a drive from the half-mile marker and unable to sustain the bid into the stretch and tired. LUCKY STEPPER under a ride from the start, was being pushed on to keep pace while racing in mid-pack three to four wide, dropped back on the turn and had little to offer in the stretch. WEDDING CHAPEL was close up early then struggled to keep up after passing the half-mile pole. ATHENA THE GODDESS lacked speed and dropped far behind early, chased through the turn and finished one-paced. RACE WAS ORIGINALLY CARDED AT SIX AND ONE-HALF FURLONGS. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
