Chart notes
NOW AND ZEN broke outward at the start then was pushed to get forward position from the break then briefly dueled with I'M MR. SHENANIGAN and AUTISM MIND then started to go clear from the seven-sixteenths pole while confidently ridden, came into the stretch clear of the rest, then extended the margin under a vigorous hand ride. JULLIAN IN PARIS ducked out at the start and was last away, bided time near the back of the field to the turn, responded to urging approaching the stretch, and finished up well under steady handling and urging, was no match for the winner but won the battle for second. SON O' SANPETE was put in tight quarters and took up approaching the half-mile pole, lacked room and had to alter course to make a bid on the turn, found room along the rail into the stretch, rallied but was out-kicked in the final yards by the top pair. DRIVE FOR SHOW raced mid-pack down the backstretch, saved ground, responded when set down 3/8, came under strong handling in the stretch but lacked punch. TOMORROWNEVERCOMES tracked mid-pack, launched a bid inside the three furlong marker three to four wide, was gaining slowly in the stretch but was not good enough. MENDONSA shied from NOW AND ZEN at the start and did not get the best break from the gate, then went immediately into a drive, circled the field then loomed six wide turning into the stretch but was unable to sustain the bid. CLUBHOUSE CHARLIE outrun from the break, raced four wide throughout and passed a few tired ones in the stretch. TOO WILD TO TAME lacked speed and raced with the quartet at the back well off the pace, came under steady urging in the stretch but had little to offer. R D STIMULUS was up close through the early stages then steadied hard near the nine-sixteenths pole, dropped back then tried to come back on the rail through the turn under strong handling then steadied again just past the three-sixteenths and was unable to recover. I'M MR. SHENANIGAN battled between horses for the early lead, stayed on to the quarter pole then tired and had nothing to offer in the stretch. AUTISM MIND vied three wide for the early lead, was already under a ride from the half-mile pole then stopped at the top of the stretch and was not persevered with when hopelessly behind. RACE WAS ORIGINALLY CARDED AT SIX FURLONGS. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
